Dash gauge needle lights don't light and check engine light stays on

After accident, the engine light stays on and the dash needle lights don't light can't see the levels at night. Car had damage underneath and side could this be electrical problem related to accident and can needle lights and check engine light be related problem?

They might be related but you need to get a scan to retrieve the trouble codes first.

Check the illumination control and ensure it is not set to minimum, if equipped. Check the fuses and note if the taillights are working.

`u will need to check all the fuses with a test light for voltage on both sides of the fuses it will say dash lights. Use the owners manual to find the fuse panels. Take the car to the parts store and they can check the codes. Then come back gl
