The check engine light came on my 2006 H3. I took it to Advanced Auto Parts to have them plug into the trucks computer. They stated the code was for the left front speed sensor. Where is this located at to fix myself and is it an easy fix. The part is only $30 which I can afford doing it myself rather rather than paying the dealers labor cost.

Its behind the wheel it should unbolt and unplug. Just because there is a code doesn't mean its for sure a bad sensor.

Thank you very much. If the speedometer still works does that mean it is fine? Or does the code mean something else? Is there a way to tell?

They usually use the output speed sensor on the transmission for the speedometer but I was thinking the sensor goes out because the bearing hub can go out here is a guide and video that shows how to replace the bearing hub.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
