The keyless entry works fine but the security system has stopped working
Normally you use the key fob to lock the doors then hit lock once more to set the security. The lights would flash and horn honks then the security light on the drivers door would flash
I can still lock the doors fine but the security doesn't set
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
Harry

The first thing were going to have to do is have the car scanned with a professional scan tool that can read all the computers not a diyer scan tool. Then let me know the exact code numbers not code descriptions? You may even need a prfessional scan tool to figure out whats wrong with the system.

Ok. A scan tool to perform diagnostics on the security system?
There are no lights on and if I needed to take it to a honda dealer than what was the point of using this service?
I am not exactly happy with this response

Yes a scan tool to do diagnostics on the security system your not happy I wasnt happy when I had to buy my professional scan which iam still paying off.I use my scan tool daily to diagnose cars the newer cars have so many computers these days. Its a must to have to trouble shoot a lot of problems on the cars. It could be a door switch hood switch hatch switch etc or something else. The first thing I do when something is inop like that is do a full scan of all the computers to see if it leads me towards the problem. Also with the scan tool you can see the state of the door switches etc. Also I have to spend big bucks to update my scan tool to do later model cars as time goes on. All out of my own pocket so yeah I hear you on needing the scan tool to diagnose the problem. Just imagine if you had to by a bidirectional scan tool that can command solenoids etc a must to do diagoses on evap systems transmissions etc and have to update it every few years. You could get a used nemisys cornwell tech force or matco pro scan with older software on ebay that could scan your car and show you data etc.I have seen some of them going for like 130-140.
