Volkswagen Beetle Brake pedal Problem

The letters epc came onto the speed odometer and the car literally just stopped. When I accelerated it just went so slow then stopped all together. I then turned it of waited a couple minutes and turned back on it did the same thing. What should Ido?

EPC = Electronic Power Control (Electronic Pedal Control)

There is a fault in the Throttle Control System that is preventing the throttle from working.

Possible faults:

- Accelerator Pedal Module
- Throttle Module
- Wiring / Connector
- Brake Pedal (Light) Switch

You'll need to have the car scanned for fault codes that might help in diagnosis.

This is one for the dealer. You don't want to dig into any throttle-by-wire system yourself. Doing so can make you a party to any future lawsuit. This is the same system that put Toyota in the news.
