Gear shift
The BAS - Brake visit workshop light came on. Also the engine stablizer light. After I turned off engine, the gear shift locked up on our 2005 CLK 430 Mercedes Benz. How do we release it? Cannot move out of park. Thanks for your help, Janice Johnson

Chances are the problem is tied into the brake light switch. It sends power to the solenoid to release the park lock. Check to see if the brake lights are working. If they are not, that is the issue.
