The tribute is idling high varies from 1500 to as much as 3500 when warm. The problem was intermitent but now is becoming more frequent. I got a TPS code and replaced it. I then thought it was the IAC but replaced it with no change. I have checked for leaks and can't find any.

The throttle body may be dirty not allowing the plate to close.

Ok, then the iac is either bad or the control for the iac has a problem.
