2005 Ford Expedition Repair Question

.what can cause this?
My suv starts and stays running in park or nuetral.then in drive or reverse did not want to go.ford said cat converters were bad.so i removed them .now it will move but when it gets to 25mph it revs to 2.5 rpm then acts as if it is no longer in gear

Do you have a check engine light?
You sure the transmission is not slipping? Check the MAF and TPS sensors

check engine light is on and i dont feel the trans slipping

when it revs to 2500, does the truck still move or gain speed??

it gets to 25 mph then revs to 4000 and motor sounds normal but it goes down 10 mph then comes back and starts again but wont get past 25 mph

you have transmission issue here as well.
