2005 Ford Expedition Repair Question

What would cause my 2005 expedition not go over 40mph when i accelerate?

I was told by ford mechanic at dealership the catalytic converters were bad.so i removed both of them and still same problem.

does engine rev up ok in neutral/park?

it only will rev 2.5 rpm then sputters

is the o2 sensors working with the cats gone??

the sensors that are on converters are not connected but there is another as pipe begins on each side still connected

with no o2 sensors, it will run bad

cats can be checked by measuring back pressure. you need to put it all together again, get it to someone who can perform this test and verify so expensive guessing goes away.
