Chevrolet Trailblazer Rpm Problem

I hit a deer and had new grill and radiator put in.. now i get high rpms when i start it cold. rpms are about 1,200, but it used to be 600. Mechanic checked it out and said he could find nothing wrong. what do you think the problem is? it never did that before.

clean the throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner. also was fan messed up? there is a thing that will set a code for fan being out of whack and cause idle/driveability problems. drive it for a while and see if it clears up, it may not but if the fan is messed up it may set a code.
