Windshield wipers started going on by themselves

A few months ago my windshield wipers started going on by themselves occasionally. Sometimes it sprays liquid, sometimes not. It can go days without doing this or can go on and off by itself all day. Do you know what might be causing this problem? Is it something I can fix myself?

I have seen this problem before it is the wiper motor here is how to replace it. Check out the diagrams (Below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
