Hello,
It sounds like an issue with the throttle actuator.
This vehicle has an electronic throttle body/actuator. It is controlled electronically and not by a wire.

It appears that the calibration for the throttle actuator is off and that is why you are getting delayed throttle response.
Sometimes this issue can happen due to a dirty throttle actuator. Clean out the actuator, as it could fix the delay issue.
