Suspension
2005 chevy equinox makes creaking sound when driving over bumps at low speeds and when turning steering wheel. Car drives normal at regarding speed .

So the front makes the noise?sounds like strut bushings.

How difficult would it be to replace the bushings to do it myself?

You would have to remove the strut and compress the coil spring with a coil spring compressor and remove the nut so the strut mount can be changed.I would also use some silicone paste on the new strut mount.But first make sure its the strut mount also check the sway bar link.
