2006 Chevy Equinox purchased 4 days ago. Some problems.
1st. Has happened twice now. Start vehicle fine. Airbag indicator on dash comes on and rather than go off quickly stays on 8-10sec and beeps the entire time. This does not happen every time.
2nd. With all vents closed I have outside air coming in through the vents. It's winter so that air is COLD
3rd. Poss normal for this vehicle. When driving on bumpy road(gravel, cracked pavement, etc) the front end sounds very noisy. Like a clunk or everything is loose and bouncing around? Does not have a problem if it hits a bump though.

any thought before it goes back to the dealer. Thank god I got the warranty.

As far as the air bag light goes the way it work's is when you turn the key on it will flash 7 time's then go off if there is nothing failing in the air bag circuit. If there is something failing then the light stay's on to let you know there is a failure and the air bag system is disabled. As far as some fresh air coming in even with the outside air vent closed off that is normal. If you didn't have some fresh air coming in you could die. It's a safety standard for some fresh air coming into the car at all time's. As far as your front end noise I would have that checked to see what's going on there there is a lot of thing's in the front end to make noise.

Thanks for the super fast reply. I'll keep an eye on the air bag light. It just seems weird that this just started. It may have blinked before and I wouldn't notice. But it never chimed before. That's why it caught my attention. I'm having our personal mechanic look at it this weekend so the front end will get checked.
As far as the vent air. For the heck of it on the way home tonight I switched the temp to as hot as it can go. Vents(power) still off. Voila. Now I suddenly had warm air coming through the "off" vents. I checked my 2002 intrepid and I agree a small amt of aor comes through but this is quite a bit. I can feel it blowing across my knuckles. Do u think this is normal still?
Thanks for your help and time.

Without being able to feel the amount of air it's hard to say if its excessive or not. But there is always air coming into the cabin I would have them check it where you take it to have it looked at.
