I am trying to find out where the fuel filter is located in my 2005 Buick Rainier so that I can check to see if it needs to be replaced. My Rainier will idle up then die with no warning of any kind and there are no check engine lights or anything to come on when this happens so I am trying to locate the source of the problem because I believe it has something to do with my fuel system.

Aww. That sucks because I was hoping we wouldn't have to drop the tank but thank you for your reply.

We took it to Auto Zone to have it hooked up to the computer to check the engine and everything and was unable to do so. Apparently, something in our vehicle has been disconnected preventing the computer from picking it up to scan anything. The problem being, we do not know what has been disconnected to keep it from being scanned by the computer.
