Hi, does it sound likely that the front axels on a 2005 Acura TL 40K miles would need replacing? And, my dealer wants to charge $975. I hear a cranking when I turn sharply at a low speed, like when parking.

Also, they want to charge me $375 for one of the motors on one of the windows, it doesn't always go back up, I have to play with the button.

Front brake pads on a manual transmission should go every 20K miles?

Thanks so much!

I would say that the CV is faulty This is in the drive shaft, these will click on full lock slow turns when worn, brake pads as a rule should last longer than 20K are they wearing evenly? And I would be thinking that the switch is the problem not the window motor, I would be getting a second opinion on all these faults, try local independent mechanic.
