MY 2000 ACURA TL powertrain locks up on me and the transmission doesent want to shift. whats needs to be dont to fix this problem ?

Get a scan done to retrieve for trouble codes to see if it is anything simple or worst case whereby a rebuilt might be necessary.

my son has a 2003 Acura TL, and his trans is out again the 3rd one since he owned the car, and these cars have bad transmissions from the factory, what goes out is the 3rd gear cluthpacks, Acura will replace the Tranamission one time depending on the millage of the vehicle, contact your local Acura dealer and see if your car is under the replacement program, I hope this helps you out, fnemo
