Rough idle
Daughter has 04 jetta 1.8t. Idles very rough but drives wonderful. In the back of the engine there is a rubber part about the size of a shot glass that has hoses coming to and from it that is leaking air. When I put my finger on the leak the engine idles even worse. What do I need to do to fix the idle problem?

to give us a better idea i'm sending 2 pics. if you can tell me what hose you think it is would be more helpful. If it is even in this picture.

I think it's #1 on the 2nd picture but not 100% sure. I will try to send a picture of it.
