2004 Nissan Maxima • 120,000 miles

Car died in road. Towed to a garage. Mechanic said it is the positive battery terminal ale harness with fuse box. He said you have to order the whole part even though I only need the wire that comes from the battery.

he said it has been finagled with the fuse block jumper wire from 2 parts was pushing too much voltage to the battery.

anyway the part is 500.00, does this sound real?

Yes it does. The fusible link box on Nissans costs nearly $300 and that is a simple part. Usually you can replace a fusible link but in a Nissan you have to replace the assembly. They are manufactured that way in sections.
