Most common knocking noise are from bad suspension control arm bushes, steering linkages, stabilizer components and struts. Different component would emit different noise symptoms.

Hi KH,
Thank you for your response, I have had my brother-in-law, who knows a bit about cars to check, nothing. He was thinking along the lines of a lesser known problem, not the standard faults.
Thanx agaln,
Mike

Hi I have the exact same noise on my almera. The knocking noise comes each time I go over bumps in the road. Could it be my control arm bushes? Your help will be appreciated. Thanx
