2004 GMC Envoy Repair Question

Everytime i tun on the a/c the revolution go down and if im on a stop or red light the cars shuts down.
My 2004 GMC envoy is giving me problems, Everytime i tun on the A/C the revolution go down and if im on a stop or red light the cars shuts down.

Does the compressor make any loud noises when turning the ac on?

When the engine is all cooled off see if the center of the ac cluch spins freely.

Yes it does, I believe the problem is with the engine, I had the A/C repaired not long ago, and when im driving on the highway or any other time I can put some throttle on it, the A/C works fine.

Is your radiator/condensor fan working correctly?If not then that can put more of a load on the engine.
