I have no back up lights on a 2004 chevy express cargo van 2500. Lights are good, fuse is good, no power @ plug connection under rear. Could it be the switch that activates when transmission is put in reverse? If so, where is the switch? And how do I check it?

TCM signals BCM that trans is in REV BCM provides power to lights. At BCM connector C check voltage on Lt. Green at C5/F

Also check the BCM fuse. If the light on the dash lights up when you are in reverse (reverse light) then check for power at the bulbs you could have two bulbs out.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know what you find.

Cheers, Ken
