My car jerks or bucks forward whenever I come to a full stop from 40mph+ or above. The dealer says I need a transmission rebuild, but I have done two trans. fluid changes at the dealer for this car. Could it really be a transmission problem? Should I fix it or cut my losses?

go to a transmission shop and have it looked at. possible needs a tranmission solenoid, not a rebuild.

Took the car to a friend who has a transmission shop. He thinks it is the cushions (round metal rings that have a wave in them that act like a spring to cushion the transmission) that need to be replaced. Either way it will be about $3000 to do. Thanks for your help.

clean throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner if it continues scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge. auto parts rent it.

The engine is missing slightly when decelerating or cruzing b/w 60-80km and sometimes when accelerating at lower speeds. The engine light has come on as well. Is this something to do with the fuel injectors? Is it likely to be costly and is it a job that I (pretty novice) should attempt to fix myself?

Also can I diagnose the problem myself?

Any responce would be appreciated, Cheers

Have the computer scanned for code/s -you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn On-This is your starting point of diagnosisi finding out what's going on.

In the last month, I have noticed that my 2002 Toyota Camry will not allow me to rev the engine upon start or any time it is in park. When I start the car and try to give it gas, the engine doesn’t respond or is delayed. The peddle will usually go straight to the floor. On some occasions the car will attempt to turn off. When I place the car in drive, it is initially delayed but then drives fine. After stopping at street lights, it can be delayed at times. I used one bottle of Seafoam to clear out the gas line, but it hasn’t improved. Is it time for a tune up or is there something else that I am missing? The gas filter is in the gas tank, does that need to be replaced?

scan for codes and have fuel pressure checked as it takes an adapter to check fuel pressure.

Thank you for responding to my question! Is it expensive to have the fuel pressure checked? Any suggestion of where I should go?
