Engine no start

When I go and turn the key, no start. I thought the battery was bad so I took the battery out of my wife's car to no avail. I put the grand marquis battery in wife's car and it turned on with no problem.

I then pulled the starter relay and with the the key turned to the on position I jumped the relay cavity number 87 and 30 and the engine cranked and started right up.

I replaced the NSS sensor and when I go start up the car, nothing.

I have checked all ground and they seem fine at least the ones that I was able to eyeball. So I went and jumped the number 30 and number 87 at the relay and the car started up just fine again.

Hello,

Typically an engine won't start for lack of fuel or spark.
