I have a 2003 mazdab2300 that the temp guage doesnt work. What is the alternative to replacing the whole cluster? The guage is electric so is there away to put another guage? Where is it on the engine? Is there a module that the guage hooks to?

More than likely its just your temp sending unit located near the throttle body on the passenger side of the engine. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in before replacing it. If you replace it relieve coolant pressure before unscrewing it or you could get burned by steaming hot coolant. Best to do it when the engine is cool
