Honda gas filler door

I have a 2003 Honda accord 4 door and the gas filler door will not open from inside is there another way to get it open?

Sometimes the spring for the filler breaks and would not spring the lid outwards when the opener is pulled. Try getting someone to pull the opener while you use a thin blade to pry the door open.
