Engine mounts

So, I have a right and left engine mounts that are completely broken. How this happened.I havent a clue. My car sounds very noisey and bad. I'm taking it in this weekend and wanted to know. If I had engine damage due to these broken mounts. Would my check engine light more likely be on?

You could have physical engine damage from the engine banging around and it would turn the check engine on. The best thing to do is take it in so they can see it in person to see if it's just the mount's or there is more to the repair. Let us know how it come's out.

I ment to say it wouldn't turn the engine light on sorry for the mistake.
