If it has power and ground at the mirror, it is a faulty mirror. You should have some sort of display, even if the outside temp sensor is not functioning.

That's what I figured. I was just hoping it might be something I wasn't thinking cuz I pulled apart the mirror and checked it for continuity and power to the display and it checked good.
