If you have the check engine light on you have to fix why the check engine light is on then clear the code and then do the drive cycle to reset the monitors.What codes do you have the exact code numbers not the code descriptions.

There are no specific or exact time frames for computer relearn procedures.

If vehicle is driven under certain conditions, it would take a shorter time than normal driving, which might be forever according to feedback from some members.
