I have just replaced the thermostat on my car due to a leak. Now it take the car forever to warm up and when I put the heaters on the engine temp drops. Help

Assuming you bled the coolant system properly and got all the air out (which I would double-check cause that may be your issue). Either you put in the wrong temperature thermostat or the thermostat you installed is stuck open (faulty).
