I have the distributor off but the rotor has a notch so the cam sensor can come out. How do I rotate the distributor to that point?

Good afternoon,

Do not understand. Did you remove the distributor?

Can you attach a picture of what you are describing?

I attached some pictures. You do not have to move the distributor at all.

The notch on the left side of the vane wheel needs to be over the sensor or it won’t come out. How do I get that notch where it needs to be to get the sensor out?

Hand rotate the engine around. You do not need to move the distributor. Move the engine instead.

You would need to put a socket on the nut on the alternator and turn it with a rachet. It is a 15/16 nut.
