Ignition switch
Hi ;i have a 2002 grand prix GTP and my key is stuck in the steering wheel ignition switch ;i was told that these keys are chip and if i change the ignition switch with a new 1 that i would have to get my key coded but yet i fine no mention of the key being coded in my owners manual or in any repair manual ;i would like to change the switch out cause it drains my batterie but i'm consern about the code part can you help

Lets try this, is the key not turning back all the way, so you cant remove it?

Change ignition switch to address your problem, You do not need to do anything with your keys.
