Do you mean that you are having a low fuel economy issue (poor fuel mileage) or that you are running out of fuel while the fuel gauge is still indicating that there is fuel in the fuel tank?

Dirt or corrosion build up on the fuel level meter is a known condition with this vintage vehicle, esspecially in areas where fuel has a high sulpher content. The symptoms include faulty readings on the fuel gauge and a fluxuating fuel gauge.

Using a good quality fuel injection cleaner periodically will help prevent this and may cure the problem if it has not progressed to the point of damaging the rheostat (meter).

Thank you for your question. Please provide more information on the problem you are having and we will do our best to diagnose it for you.

Thank you,

Dan
