How to set timing after changing distributor on 02 chevy s10 4.3

The timing is not adjustable at all. Turning the distributor controls the synchronization of the rotor with the coil and the injectors with the spark. It requires the use of a professional scan tool to observe the "Cam Offset" PID and adjust it to "0".
You will have to get it close first to be able to get it started.
