Why does my 2002 monte carlo engine periodically shut off while driving when I let off gas? I have a series of problems; it has to be boosted off sometimes, the check engine and abs lights are on as well as the trac system light and the air conditioning has suddenly stop blowing cool air. Also seems to shift gears harder

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis,finding out what's going on.

Also have the charging system checked-
