2002 Buick Regal LS , the instrument cluster digital lights that show the mileage are not visible anymore , dealer said they would have to send it to factory for repair ( $300) . What options do I have?

Hello. Go to youtube and print this question. You will find video for repair.But it is good if you some DIY soldering experience. All you need two resistors ( but I put some in parallel for long life) with price in Radio Shake $5. Need more help go: mgosh2001@yahoo.com

thanks MGOSH , I watched the youtube video and had to replace 7 resistors that were very loose ($.99 for five at the shack) , had local electric repair shop do the soldering for me since they were so small ($20). Lights are good again.
