2002 BMW X5 Repair Question

2002 x5 LCD radio light problems. Most of the LCD display is missing and not really possible to read the radio station? Can you help please all other web sites talk garbage!!!

Lights on display most are missing very hard to read station and very hard to retune in.

BMW has issued a Technical Service Bulletic (TSB #SI-B65-08-04) that addresses this issue. Unfortunately, the bulletin calls for the replacement of the radio itself.

Hi Thanks for your promt reply, I was told on other web sites its a new ribbon cable?? but thanks for putting me right.

I would take it to the dealership to be sure that the symptoms of the problem that you're experiencing match what's stated on the TSB. Have them verify the problem.
