Volvo S60 Engine Problem

Car sometimes surges from take off
also can have a rough idle at cold sometimes

to get speed up when it feels like surging I need to use the cruise control speed increase button

95% of the time the car runs normally

the surging only happens when engine is not fully warm

have replaced etm a couple of months ago

thanks for the reply

no there are no fault messages coming up while its doing it

will need to check fuel pressure and hose to mass air meter when the car is back home later today

the surging means its very hard to get speed going when its playing up btw and its odd how the cruise can get the car up and running normally

have had a look at the tiny hose running from downstream of the etm up to the switch(?) in the lid of the airbox

the other small hose going into the switch is dubious and has some damage

question , which end of the switch should the hose from the inlet manifold go onto , the port nearest the engine or the port nearest the fender??
