Why does car die while driving and security light turns on?

While driving, the car will die for an instant then turn back on. When I say "dies", I mean that the engine shuts off including stereo but then everything turns right back on. I believe that the only light that turns on is the "security" light. It happens whether pushing on the gas or not, and high or low speeds. The only thing that I can remember happening prior to the incidents is that the cooling fan fuse would burn out every couple of weeks and I would replace it. It doesn't do that anymore but now has the current problem occuring every other time I drive. The factory security has been disabled for years because the remote broke and couldn't replace it.

How did you bypass the factory security system? Also when it dies do you loose all electrical power to everything? Also have you made sure the battery cables are clean and tight and had the battery and alternator tested?

I'm not sure it loses all electrical power but the stereo does shut off for that instance. I retract my state about bypassing the alarm. The situation is that the remote was lost and therefore the security system(alarm) was never used again.

Yes, all of the dash lights turn off and the security light comes on. Remember, this happens for at most, a couple of seconds because the car then gains all power again. Yes, i'm sure the blower fan also shuts off.
