My Saturn SC1 "check engine" light has stayed on for at least a year. I had it checked out at 2 places. One says the error code shows an exhaust problem. The other says it shows a problem with the cruise control -- the car does not even have cruise control! Anys suggestions?

The exhaust problem is probably a faulty O2 sensor. Replace it.

Just to add to this one I wouldnt go just replacing the o2 sensor without knowing the exact code numbers. There is more then one code for the o2 sensor and more then one o2 sensor. There are also codes for the cat and the air injection. Please list the exact code numbers and not the code descriptions.
