When I first crank the car it cranks fine. When I put it in drive I can push the gas all the way to the floor and nothing changes. After a few seconds it starts moving, but it has no power. It moves forward in jerky stop and go spurts as I pump the gas pedal. Once it catches and goes there is good power and I have no trouble the rest of the day.

If the light is on, there is a trouble code/s stored in the computer. I need to know what the codes are to really be helpful. Are you able to have the computer scanned for codes?

We really need the codes to determine where the problem is coming from. Are there any nationally recognized parts stores near you? Most will lend you the tools needed.
