Hello, whenever the car is in park or neutral it wants to stall but the problem doesn't happen while driving. Grateful if u can advise the cause and possible solution.

Could just be a dirty throttle plate and mass air flow sensor

Ok the car wants to stall evertime, doesn't matter if its in park, neutral or drive. Also it does the same thing if the engine is cold or hot.

Thanks guys for the quick response, is there a particular way to check the IAC valve? Also about 75,000 miles ago the intake gasket on the car was changed. Could that be a factor in the stalling?
