Mazda b3000 Gas Problem
My gas gauge is not working properly. When i turn the truck off the gauge does not go down so when i start the truck it does not give an accurate reading. I dont know if the gauge itself is stuck but the temp gauge is working properly just the gas gauge is inaccurate. I'm not sure where to start

Disconnect the fuel sending wireharness connector at fuel tank and turn the ignition on. Note if the gauges goes down to lowest point in gauge.
Reconnect the harness and turn on ignition switxh again and note if it goes up.
Bte most modern fuel gauges don't drop to zero when ignition switch is turned off. They stay near to where it last was when ignition is turned off.
