When backing up in reverse intermittently, my vehicle will cut-off. Current solutuion to problem when this problem occurs, is to place the car in park and restart vehcile.

could be a torque converter issue in the transmission. you need someone to verify this when the issue occurs.

as far as its worth, that is up to you. can you replace the car for the amount of the repair??
