High oil pressure?

Want to know why is the oil pressure rising up so high?

Hello,

Is the gauge reading higher than usual for the oil pressure?
You can have high oil pressure when pressure release valve in the oil pump stops functioning.
First you need to verify if indeed the pressure is high and not a faulty sensor or the gauge.
The oil pressure sensor is located next to the oil filter.
You can test the oil pressure of the engine by using oil pressure test tool.
Typically you can rent those from your local auto parts store.

Here is the oil pressure parameters for your Jeep:
Curb Idle - 25 kPa (4 PSI) minimum
3000 RPMs - 170-550 kPa (25 - 80 PSI)
