I think i broke my shift cable, can i manually put the car in drive to make it to the nearest shop
my shift was stuck and i couldnt get it into drive, so i try to force the shift handle into drive and it went to drive put the car will not move. the shifter feel real loose. i can put it in every gear but the car wil not move.

the shifter assembly has to be replaced as an assembly. it is not cheap. never, never force anything as this is the result. after all this, i would look for the reason it would not move as well.
