Check the brake fluid level.
The taillights and dash lights are in the same circuit and are straightforward circuits.
Check the switch, fuses and wirings for loose connections.

Brake fluid level is good.
The lights all turn on/off simultaneously.

How would loose ground be affected by engine temp, as opposed to something like road bumps?

It is not engine temperature that is causing the lights to turn off if my guess is correct and both the systems have nothing to do with the engine.

Poor ground or loose connections would be affected by heat and resistance due to currecnt passing through them.
