I have a 2001 ford focus se that make a clunking sound upon acceleration. I have changed the passenger side motor mount as well as the mount to the transaxle. The passenger side mount was very obviously bad, but the transaxle didn't look too bad, but i left the new one in anyway. Should I change the rear mount located on the drivers side? Is there something else that could be making the car do this? The engine definitely moves, almost******. Please advise, thanks.

you should be able to make it clunk by putting car alternately in forward and then reverse while holding firmly with brakes and giving it some gas. it does sound like the last mount is the culprit.
