I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, 5.9, auto.trans, 4x4, 147,000 miles. Part of the problem is the starting, sometimes when I start it it turns over just fine then it makes a clunk noise and starts dragging, it will go ahead and start but sometimes it doesn't ack like it's going to. I've had the battery and charging system checked it's fine. Do you have any idea what this could be? Thank you

You may need to have the starter tested? When problem is ongoing, what is the voltage reading, engine cranking, at the battery and starter? Any testing make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and the e-brake is set.
