I am trying to remove the multifunction connector from the connector box and I can't find clips or able to pull the two connectors out. Are there connection locks somewhere?

See pics because it's kind of a large connector where the arrow is pointing will be the place you push down to pull apart.

I already have the multifunction switch removed from the steering column. My question has to do with the connectors going into the connection box under the dash. The connection box is attached to the frame with two plugs into a steel frame. I am having a difficult time removing the connectors from the connection box.

It would be nice to remove the connection box but those two plastic plugs are expanded and I can't remove.

Try a small screwdriver to get them out if they are expanded then it will be tough to get them out. That is all I can suggest at the moment. One other thing check tose if there are locks at back by wires that may go all the way through and they need tobe pulled out half way to release the connectors along with the clamp ones.

FYI, I finally figured out the problem with not being able to remove the connector. There is a screw in the middle of the wiring cluster that must be loosened in order to remove the wiring cluster and the blue clips. If ever asked the question again you can advise.
