The code is for an evaporative system fault. The problem might require scanning the car with the proprietary BMW scan tool to pinpoint the fault because generic scanners dont have the ability to do so. Or you could just recheck the gas cap, make sure it is tight, and clear the fault, that might do it and it is worth a try, you have nothing to lose.
